How many SFNO's were there at Eugene and the Knob? I'm also hoping someone can tell me how many Satin/Snake SFNO's there were, and if there were any Satin/Tiger NO's as well. Thank you very much, people.

10 blades per show? 10 of each combo I mentioned? 10 in general?

Sadly, my young friend, I think it was about 10 at the Creek and less at Eugene.

If you look back through the Threads in the Busse sub-forum, you should still be able to see the pictures Jerry posted of the massive numbers of knives he sent ... especially to Knob Creek. A little care and a little time will help you pick out the SFNOs. There were precious few of them. I also recall a number of Custom SFNOs offered in the Knoboganzaa following the Creek ... a small number.

I honestly can't recall if any were Satin/Snake or Satin/Tiger.

I did pick up a beautiful Satin/Snake with a Saber grind at Blade '07. It was the only one like that of perhaps 10 SFNOs, none of which were CG (if I recall correctly). I think there will always be at least one Satin SFNO at each Blade ... Jerry well knows how popular that knife is.

The challenge ... is to be the Hog with his/her hand in the right place when that knife comes out from below the table.

[It's not quite that bad. There will be other equally lovely SFNOs there ... just not many.]

Here are a few pics for you:

Don't forget, there are OTHER fantastic Busse blades like this:

Here's one pertinent picture I just found from KnobCreek08:

So, you see, there's 'just enough' at Blade and Knob Creek to keep any Hog excited and scrabbling at the Trough!

Hang in!

Oh man...a Sabre-ground satin/snake? You, my friend, are like the lone templar knight at the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and I am waiting patiently to get the goblet you're hiding...

And, some days, I feel like I'm about the same age ... :D

J,

You are the phreaking man. If you EVER desire to sell, PLEASE hit me first. That satin/snake is BEGGING to be used and there she sits, just looking pretty. That'd be like spending your life with Salma Hayek or Rosalyn Sanchez, and never even TOUCHING her. Man, I'll send you a PM with my addy. :D:D:D

Fully understood.

Truly, I've been blessed in the last two years. I'm not Jaxx ... or Tony G ... or Skunk.

But I've got my share! :D

It's sad that my first experience with the SFNO hasn't been what I hoped it would be, but I still think it's the most beautiful knife Busse has made to this point. Any time, any one, brother. Just holler and I'll work it out some way. There's got to be something a young buck has that a more experienced gentleman might want. ;) (no homo)

I remember seeing two or three Custom Shop knives and one Custom Shop varient at Eugene. There may have been more but that was all I saw first thing Saturday morning. No CG SFNOs to my knowledge.
