firsty id like to apologize for the pictures, i know that i suck and so does the camera i borrowed. so the combination of the two is enough to make a grown man sea sick.

down to business, i bought this supposed benchmade stryker bm910bt at a gun show on saturday. i really hope its the real deal there are no pictures of it i could find on the net.

edited to add information

i see that the photos are smaller than i would have liked, and have no idea how to make them click-able or bigger.
so i will offerup some information

on the clip has
BENCHMADE
U.S.A

it is NOT chisel ground

and has an emblem that i cannot describe folowwed by ELISHEWITZ on the back

on the front there is the butterfly that matches my balisongs except that bali-song inside of it does not go to the edges of the butterfly. there is no model number under it, however there is a registered symbol

underwhich there is BENCHMADE
U.S.A.

the bolt pattern: hear the joint of the knife there is a screw with an allen key hole on either side
on the handle

on the opposeite end there is a lanyard hole and three screws with star heads but theseonly have one side with the star and the other is just a round nut i think

both the thumb assist and the clip have star heads

other than that my only complaint is that the metal liner lock is not ground flush with the G-10 grip where at the very end of the grind out on the clip side of course.

i hope this helps somehow

Upload higher resolution pics. It's hard to see anything on the ones you posted.

But here's little hint - I saw a fake BM that had logo where butterfly had antennae - so you can check yours.

Did you say that the logo says Bali-song? That does not sound correct to me for a non-balisong Benchmade, but I am hardly an expert.

thanks for the quick responses guys,

huugh, i wish i could upload better photos but im working with what i can get my hands on, if anyone would like to give me permission to shoot an email to them i will see what i can do

and i checked the butterfly and it does have antennae on it, but then so does my 42

knife outlet - i obviously like what you are saying and wished everyone would say the same, lol

lurker, yes it does say bali-song in the emblem and then benchmade under it.

thank you all for the input i hope there is more to come

does anyone have any other hints of what those fake ebay strykers were like?

looks like the real deal to me
dunno about the time frame, but benchmade made models with both the balisong logo & the butterfly w/antennaes

AFAIK, the Stryker wasn't/isn't chisel ground...
Elishewitz is the designer of the Stryker, and that looks like his symbol to me. It's the same one that's found on the 730 series.
Looks to me like you got a legitimate Benchmade. One of the older ones, most likely, from the 90s.

It looks like the legit ones I've seen, and the antennaes on the butterfly with Bali-song used to be their mark (I have Benchmade literature showing knives with these markings.

How much did you pay for it? If you got it for a couple bucks the chances of it being a good fake go way up in my book.

Looks real to me. I know there are a lot of fakes floating around and most of these fakes don't have a screw above the pivot and are partially serrated.

FYI There were some stryker's sharpened w/ chisel edges.

Doesn't have blade steel written that I can see.

Seems like it was sharpened. But it looks good to me.

Was it a too good to be true deal?

hey guys, wow i didnt even know i had responses

i just updated the photos from a different host so they are bigger and really display my lame camera-man qualities

it is sharpened and i sharpened it

i paid 95 for it, and if it is old i would make sense i think the guy also had an 975 for sale, almost bought it, but too much knife for me man.thank you everyone for posting, i hope that the bigger pics help with the judgement, if you get sick looking at them i do apologize

and the scan from Huugh......... yea it helps...... but....it is not exactly what i have, lol

thanks again, please keep em coming
dan

The only thing that catches my eye is the "Benchmade USA" is not on the flat part of the blade. (but I have not seen to many of them with this logo) The blade is probably ATS-34.

Whoa, my older model, fixed blade is different- it says Benchmade across the Butterfly, sorry I wasn't paying attention:o (but it still has antennas)

The newer version strykers didn't have the ELISHEWITZ logo. 99.9% of the fake strykers I've seen also don't have the Elishewitz logo. If you see that logo your pretty much good to go. Also as previously mention almost all fakes don't have a stop pin screw over the pivot, yours does. I'd bet the farm on this being genuine. If you still have any doubts put $5.00 in a box with the knife and ship it to Benchmade. They'll know for certain and while it's there they can give it a good cleaning and sharpening.

hey guys, thanks very much, im just going to buy that it is the real deal.

thanks very much for all of the responses

and an excellent idea gmarthur, if i decide that i need more confirmation i will take your advice

thanks again
dan
