this is my Boker epicenter
right from start the frame lock travel rate was alarming,
but only recently while i took it off i sow the extent of the damage
the face of lock is grounded and soon the detent ball hosing will be breached
if the worn will continue.

can anything be done to remedy that?

The pictures for the frame are not in focus for us to see exactly what is there.
Also you may want to also contact boker and see if they can offer any assistance.

From what im seeing no they would have to replace the whole lock side. Only after market save I could see is finding somebody that could make a steel lock bar insert for you.

I think Boker might help depending on the age. The early Epicenters were total junk from what I understand. Not that the new ones are great, just not as bad.

Zero Replay from Boker... :grumpy:
oh what a shocker

Gotta love that titanium.. Pay twice the price for half the life! But it's lightweight...😏

Just out of curiosity, how long have you had the knife? That's a lot of wear. I've been using a Bradley Alias (titanium framelock) for the past 6 years and the lock is still going strong.

As far as fixing it, I am of the opinion that just about anything can be fixed. However, the question is- how much effort are you willing/capable of putting into it, and/or how much money are you willing to spend?

At some point it might be best to get a new knife.

It sounds like you aren't happy with Boker, and in your opening post you said "Right from start the frame lock travel rate was alarming", so maybe getting a different knife is the best solution.

its not the amount of use, that titanium they have use seams to be sub par
in 2 weeks the frame travel inside was so fast i knew this will happen!

and thats the Gen 2 ...

and Boker have not reply to my contacts...
i don't understand how the think anyone buy their crap, i wont! :thumbdn:

Holy crap. That is an insane amount of wear.

I've literally never seen that much wear on a framelock/linerlock before.

it's hardest use was cutting A4 paper
nice going Boker, absolutely no replay from them.

You did get a reply from their USA rep last week and again, here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...nter-Gen-2-be-repaird?p=13802187#post13802187

Your best bet is to contact one of their international partners closest to you from this page:
