Can gold members access other members' email addresses? (moderators)

I got an email a few minutes ago from another member after asking him a question about his for sale listing. I responsed by asking how he got my email, which I saw as a red flag as he didn't even answer my qeustion.
He claimed the above, that as a gold member he could get the emails addresses of other gold members. that cannot be right. I am think this is a scammer/spammer.

Nobody, including staff, (except for possibly Spark), has access to your email address...and additionally, no one but the specific parties to your DMs can read them...(and that includes all staff as well as Spark)

However, if you have listed your email address previously in a post or thread, it is available to be misused by scammers.

Do not post your email address...and if you have, and get an email from another member instead of a DM, do not respond.

I found your email in two clicks and a scroll, which only took about 5 seconds.

Go through your posts and edit it out.

You can search members posts in the search function or if you click their profile and click on postings.

dang, they go way back, is there any way to delete postsb in mass? like a bunch at a time. I used to always include my email for questions

You can search for your email address(es) to see where you’ve posted them.
