STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES!

A few months back AC? had Khukuris/ Kardas etc for sale.
A few of us forumites ordered the Kardas to fool around with. I received mine, I think 20, opened the box, cleaned them up a bit, and put them out in the garage to work on more thoroughly, later.

I had a dream a couple of nights ago, that I had thrown that box out during a general quick cleanup of numerous boxes laying around in my garage. A quick break from my Caregiver Duties.

I forgot the dream but kept coming back to me so I thought I had better check it out. I have looked and looked in the Garage for that box of Kardas. No where to be found. Bet I put it in the trash for pickup. I NORMALLY break all boxes down prior to placing in trash, but do remember putting one set of boxes within each other and placing for the trash pickup.

My karma is not working for sure. STUPID, STUPID.!!!!

At least it wasn't stolen...:(

There's something about those little guys, though. I bought 20 of 'em, too. Cleaned 'em up and packed them carefully away. About 2 weeks ago, my son asked me if I had any interesting kardas, and I spent 15 minutes tearing the workroom apart looking for the box. Couldn't find it. This last weekend, I was building another khuk drawer (yeah, I overflowed the one I made 6 months ago), and found the box stuck way back under the workbench.

My experience was a lot better than yours, LCS, but they ARE sneaky.
 
I had a .375 Supermag. The brass is very rare. I had three or four boxes with the headstamp from the sil shooter's org. Gate's own batch.

When moving I picked up a box, shook it, figured it was empty, and tossed it.

Upon arrival I wracked my brain trying to figure out what had happened. Did the Mover's steal it?

No. I chucked it.

I was once throwing away a bunch of old documents, faxes, etc., and without being aware, threw out a large bundle of 100,000 lira notes (at the time worth $70 U.S. each), when Italy used the lira in lieu of the Euro. :eek:

It has since made me more careful when I throw anything away. :D

Same thing kind of happened to me a year or so ago. I got a box with a siru, a letter opener khuk, and 2 biltons at my mother's house right after i graduated college. Well i took the siru with me to my new apartment and left box with the biltons and letter opener newspaper and all on the work bench in my mom's garage. i come back 3 days latter to find that she had thrown the whole thing out just thinking it was newspaper in a box. VERY disheartening indeed:(

It's karda gnomes. Put a few cloves of garlic in the box with the kardas and they won't touch them ;) Or leave a few cheap Chinese Microtech LCC clones out and they will be so busy trying to find the hidden release they will leave the kardas alone. :D
