Can I bead/sand blast G-10?

I have a mini manix that I blasted all but the liners G-10, and screws, looks tact-kewl. No for real I like the look. Anyways the mini was not to bad, but I wanted to mod it.

So question of the day, can I blast the g-10? If so what would you use glass, shells, or bead, or sand, or other? Also what psi should be used, because man I'd hate to brake my spyderco scales.

Then again I could order another color or G-10 and give it a wack at making some scales? Mmmmmm......maybe I should order some thinner g-10 in OD green, and give it a shot? It would make the mini manix a few 16s thinner.

But I'd still like to know if I can blast G-10?

Thanks in advance.

I've blasted G10 on my customs. In fact that one in my signiture line shown below is bead blasted. I use glass beads. 60PSI but more doesn't seem to hurt it.

Blast them and if you screw them up let me know. I have an extra set of Mini Manix scales here in great shape. For another thought though if you would rather I can blast one tomorrow when I get back to the shop and then scan both for you to see a before and after. It will probably just clean it out and lighten it some but I doubt it will be permanent.

10-4 STR Thanks for your response. I will blast away with beads, if I brake one, or mess it up I'll shoot you a e-mail. I should be done with my mini project by wed. Pics will be posted here when done.
