Because I just got a real lemon, but hopefully the folks at Kershaw can help me make some lemonade out of it. I came home to find my new Offset in the mail box waiting for me so ran inside and opened the box only to be met with the horror that was lurking within. The blade is not only crooked left to right but also top to bottom so much so that it is hitting the liners. I've never really seen anything like it before in all the knives I have gotten over the years including the 10 or so other Kershaws i have. So now I am at kind of a loss at what to do.

Send it back! They'll make it right and send that knife to the RD people who find out what went wrong. Heck they may even send it through a "lemon press" to rid the world of that bastard creation and restore order to the force.

I have seen a few of the offsets that way, but all that I saw were marked as blems. But you are talking about the best company in the world for customer service , so you have absolutely no worries ! Simply mail it to kershaw attn: customer service , with a note inside stating problem and include your shipping address on note and you will be taken care of in very short order. They simply are the best !!!

On the offsets they are always on the blade, not necessarily around the serial number. If yours was marked , you would be able to find them, they are marked with four small x's.

Geeze Grumpy:grumpy:,.....what are you complaining about?,............

...........they're called "Offset", and that's what you got! ;) :D

That's what I was thinkin'...The blade on the Offset is so weird, I'm not sure how you could tell that the one you have isn't right.:D.:D.

Anyhow, send it back home to Kershaw, and they will replace it.....If not, send it to me, and I'll live with it.:D.

I sent them an Email about it earlier asking wha all i need to include and where to send it to. I'm not sure if any one is there today I would not be surprised, or blame them if they were not.

You don't need to wait for a reply to your email , just follow the instructions I gave you , that is all you need to do , trust me .

Dave has spoken...it is written.

Tiss true. Just send it in with a letter and you'll have a replacement
back in no time. Turn around time is really fast....usually about a week,
but it'll probably be a little longer due to Christmas.

Here is the email I got back from them.

We apologize for the difficulty you are experiencing with your knife. We will gladly take care of it. Please package it in a box, include a letter with your name, address and phone number. Please ship via UPS or insured mail with Delivery Confirmation to the address below.

Well i got my knife back today ad the only thing that appears to have been done to it was being dipped in a bucket of oil. What should i do now.

Send Kershaw another email, they should send you a prepaid UPS shipping call tag to send it back in. Mark the package "ATTN: Thomas W or Dawn".
