Can I fix this edge using the Spyderco Sharpmaker?

I dropped my Kershaw Tremor on concrete and the edge chipped. I was just wondering if I can fix this using the course stones on my Spyderco Sharpmaker? The chips might look small in the picture but that's because my camera couldn't focus when I zoomed in. Any recommendations on how to get my edge back would be appreciated.

Sure you can fix those. You might to try wrapping the rods with course sand paper for quicker work.

What grit sandpaper do you recommend I get?

For those chips, on a relatively small/thin blade, I don't see any need for anything coarser than 400/600 grit. Start at 600, and if the going is too slow, then step down a notch in grit. Don't think you'll need to, though.

Isn't the brown Sharpmaker stone supposed to be rated around 600 grit, already?

Number-wise, it might be the same. Grit-wise, it's a completely different standard. 600 grit wet/dry (silicon carbide) is a LOT coarser and more aggressive than 600 ceramic (aluminum oxide, aka 'alumina'). And diamond '600' would be different from either of those. It all boils down to how aggressively each abrasive type cuts, as opposed to actual size of the abrasive particles.

If you take a look at Komitadjie's 'The Grand Unified Grit Chart' sticky, the 'medium' spyderco is rated at similar aggressiveness to 1200 grit wet/dry paper (FEPA-P standard, i.e. 'P1200' grit).

Alright I appreciate all the advice. Need to head down to home depot and get some sand paper now.

^That, yes. DEFINITELY the wet/dry stuff (3M or Norton is very good).

Using the garnet stuff (made for wood), will be an exercise in futility. ;)
