I was born in the first half of the last century, but just got my first Buck today! Now I need to know something about it, besides it's good looks and being SHARP!

Was in a local outdoor shop when I saw this on sale: A Limited Edition 2000, model B532-BR. Has file work, a BG-42 blade and some type of brown wood scales. Feels very nice in hand.

Can some one tell me about it??

Well, there were only 2000 of them made and you already know how sweet they are. Its a great EDC (every day carry)and that BG42 is one of the finest blades you can have. Run a search on 532's in this forum and you can see some really fine examples. By the way, you were lucky to find one.

The place I bought it had at least one other of the same model. They were selling for $48.00. Would it be wise to buy a second??

And thanx for the suggestion about running a search. Will do.

Off the top, anyone have a guess as to the scale material? They are a medium brown wood, fairly straight graining, with some darker sections in it.

The more I handle it, the more I like. Nice heft. You can "feel" the quality. Don't know what took me so long to buy a Buck; won't be the last. ;)

Your welcome. As a new Buck owner, you may be interested in the Buck Collectors Club. There is a thread titled Buck Collectors Club,Inc here down the page. There is a printable application and a list of the benefits and pleasures.

So when do I find out about the secret handshake???;) Or am I not suppose to talk about that.:o

We'll let you slide for blabbing this time, but next time you'll have to give all the members in the thread involved new Bucks from PCKS.:D

I did some checking and we only actually made about 850 of the walnut handled ones. We also offered them in red or blue inlays. We sold about 800 of each of those.
Hope this helps,
