Can I get my 110 fixed?

I've got an old 110 I've carried for years that recently developed blade-play, and bench stones have pretty much eaten up the blade. The knife is still very usable, but I am concerned that the knife's life (a very long one, indeed, probably 25-30 yrs.) has expired. My question is: do I go buy a new one (will do so gladly), or does Buck offer a refurbishing option? If so, I'd like to know the details. I'm new to this forum, so I hope my Q isn't redundant. Thanks.

Based on all the positive feedback about Buck customer service that I've read here on this forum, I'd say definitely pack the knife up and send it to the folks at Buck. It might cost a buck or two, but they should be able to work wonders for ya!
Good luck.

They'll refurbish it for you if that's what you want. Call them at 1-800-735-2825 and talk to customer service. They're nice folks. They do a lot of knives that have sentimental value. If that's the case be sure and tell them.

Hey guys - thanks for the replies and info!
I just now called the # dennis gave me and got the instructions for sending my knife in for refurbishing. I'll have it in the mail tomorrow. Talked to a very friendly lady. I'm really excited to see what they can do with my "old buddy". I have several of the higher-end knives, but before I got into the "tacticals" I carried my 110 daily for many years. The Buck 110 set the standard for folding lockers. When I get my knife back, I'll post the results in this forum. Thanks again.

I can't think of anything 'cut' to say.

I thought I posted when I received the knife back from Buck; I appoligize if I didn't. The
knife came back better than new, 'cause Buck didn't tamper with the basic integrity of the knife by replacing any of the principal parts. They did replace the pins (I was missing one pin) and the spring. The blade and bolsters were highly polished and the blade was centered - which leads me to believe they may have replaced the pivot washer(s). Of course, they also gave the blade a fine cutting edge. The result is a beautiful, serviceable old knife.....and all this for like $7? You can't beat this deal - thanks Buck!
