Can I make my kershaw clash deep carry

I have a kershaw clash and really like the knife for the value of it. I just hate the way it carries tip up. What are some ways to make it carry deeper without dumping a ton of money into an inexpensive knife? Depending on the answer I may want to do it to my rat 1 as well. The rat 1 and 2 are damn near perfect just want AO and a slightly deeper carry. I saw something about a guy that makes clips on here... Can't remember his name it was something really short like SRT or something along those lines.

Take the clip off.

While you are correct in that mrcinek's post was lacking any useful information, you as well didn't add anything to the discussion.

On topic, STR is who the OP is thinking of. I don't own any of his products but they look very nice but are a bit pricey. That said, if you must have a deep carry clip he might be able to help you out.

The pocket clip does look sort of funky on the clash. From the pictures I looked at it looks like you can carry it tip down though. As for a less expensive deeper carry clip look at USAknifemaker or knifekits for after market clips. Finding one that fits might be a bit of work. Measure the distances between holes and shoot them an email to see if the have one that will fit. For deep carry clips the distance between the outside holes is what you want to measure. Hope that helps.

Does removing the clip on a knife not make it carry deeper in ones pocket? Does it not involve dumping a ton of money to do it?

Would drilling new holes to fit a different clip work? Or would that be opening a can of worms I wouldn't want to start

ugh.....

Once again back on topic...For me drilling new holes would be opening a can of worms. However, if you have the know how and the tools it wouldn't be that hard. If it were me I would look at after market clips that might fit. I am in a similar boat with my PM2. I want a deeper carry clip in black but I can't justify the STR option and then have to paint it. If I can't find an aftermarket option I will eventually go the STR route but I am not there yet.

OP email me and I can tell you how to do it for <$10 (non sponsored so I won't break the rules and post it publicly).

As far as the rat-1 a benchmade deep-carry clip will fit it (BM gives them out for free) and on my rat-2 I modified a spare kershaw 1555 (cryo) clip to fit using a dremel and 5 minutes of work.

Also Casey has a batch of his clips in (theoriginalspaceman) for spyderco's (note the rat-2 uses the spyderco hole pattern) for $18 shipped.
