Can I only see knives from one particular maker?

Is there a way for me to only see new threads from one particular maker? Instead of every knife by every maker in that section of the forum?

If you just go to that makers subforum and tag his posts to alert you ... I believe there is a way to tag a members posts also but I would have to look throught settings to explain it ... but if it hasn't changed I believe it's pretty straight forward to do.

Which section? If you're referring to the makers' section of the exchange, you can type their username in the "member" section of the search box and leave the "this forum" box checked.

For sale: fixed blades. I do watch that forum but what I want to do is only get notifications for on guy on there instead of every one that is trying to sell there knife.

Gotcha. Not sure then. I know you can "follow" members as I get alerts that people are "following" me, but don't know how that works. You might check in the settings to see if there's something to do with notifications there.

Yes I actually do follow them and I thought that would alert me to there posts but it doesn't. I'm not sure if it is supposed to for not.

I'm not aware of any way to get notifications of sales posts from a single maker, but you might try contacting the maker and letting him know that you want to buy one of his knives. Most makers are pretty open to that sort of thing.

Alternatively, you could use Kiah's instructions to search a forum. Following his instructions will bring up all the posts made by someone in any single forum. (I recommend also checking the box "show as threads".) You will get a list of threads in which he has posted. Normally a maker posting in an exchange forum will only post in threads he started in which he was selling his own knives. So the list is pretty much going to be comprised of sales threads from that single maker.

When filled out, the search box will look like this...
