Can I order any thing I want form the “Custom Shop”???

What is the deal with the custom shop? Can one place an order for any knife that one fancies at the time and the guys in the custom shop whip it up with the options specified. Or are those listed as custom Ganza or limited run offering that Jerry comes up with??? Lets see some of those “Custom creations”!!!! I got my eye on one of those HOGFSH with the smooth g10 handles or, the one I really want but rarely see for sale the FBM with the smooth g10 handles.....
 
Yes. . . and no. The limit is your budget and the time of hte shop. Several YEARS wait isn't uncommon.
 
I should have my FFBM any day from the custom shop, mine will have black smooth G10 scales like the NMFBM. I would love to see some knives from the custom shop, and some that people dont see every day.
 
I also was wondering along the same lines. Can the custom shop build a knife that has been out of production for a while, or are there only certain models that you can choose from? I would assume that the handle material choices would be dictated by what was available at the time of actual construction.

The only way to know what you can get from the custom shop is to send Garth a e-mail and ask if they can do what you are wanting done.

He will either say yes and quote you a price and estimate a date of completion or say no.

Either way you will never know until you ask.

How bad was the wait and how hefty was the tag on your custom shop blade????:confused:


Well I guess I am waiting half a year or more for the rest of my damn AR, soooo for a custom FBM I think I might be able to wait it out.....:yawn:

I got a law enforcement discount on the work I wanted done. I was told it would take 7-10 buisness days to have it fully recoated, and sharpened. While there, the scales broke, and then I got the call from Amy. She gave me some options, I told her which I prefered, and she said they would take care of me. They have great customer service.
 
I did want to take this knife with me on my upcoming Alaska trip, maybe she will see this and shoot me an estimated time frame on when I will get it back.

I believe that the starting rate for a knife of your design is $100 an inch. Jerry regularly states that certain designs are never to be made again, and I would assume that you could not order one of those.
 
Ive talked to Amy and Kendra or Kathy and sent emails to Garth and Jerry.
Magic potion must be right. I've asked just questions about doing something custom and I cannot even get a simple response. :(
 
Sure. I just ordered a pizza and a case of CBL.
