Can i replace Leatherman Micra scissors with Leatherman pliers from Squirt P4, PS4, or Style PS?

Hi All,

I really like the format of the stainless Leatherman Micra, but I have more use for a small pliers than a small scissors. I can make do with a micro-knife in place of the small scissors.

I would never cannibalize a perfectly good tool to do the swap, but if i come across some junk tools in a lot that i picked-up i might just give it a try.

Does anyone know if the pliers from the Leatherman Squirt P4, pS4, or Style PS will fit into the Micra?

Might. I thought the only differance between the Micra and Squirt was one has scissors, the other pliers, they are built on the same frame or handle.
I may be mistaken on that belief, however.

They will not. I have tried it myself. It will not work. The scissors from a Squirt S4 will fit in a Squirt P4. Squirt PS4, or Style PS and vise-versa, but you cannot put either the pliers or the scissors from a Squirt or a Style in a Micra. They will not fit.

Just to clarify Guy's response, the pliers are too thick to fit into slots occupied by the Micra's scissors, both at the pivots and in the folded position between the tools in the handles.

I've wanted a micro PST for the longest time.
If the Chinese can make a Micra knockoff with pliers why can't leatherman?
