These four makers are top on my list but I can only order one so I need to pick but I can't right now. I was hoping any of you out there that own stuff from these makers would be kind enough to post whatever pics you have of ANY of there stuff with blades over 4 inches. Also if you could leave comments regarding stuff like edge holding, customer service etc. Thanks

Well, Matt Bailey doesn't generally take orders (He's a part time maker with a career in special education). And I've never had to send a knife back, so I don't know about "customer service". But I've never heard of someone having to send a knife back to him for any reason whatsoever.

If you want to see any of his work, his photos speak volumes. Just go to his profile (Bailey Knives) and click "View recent started threads" on the left hand column.

The vast majority of his knives are 4" or bigger.

And I should add, the primary way to get one is to lurk the knifemakers "fixed blades" for sale forum and the individual "custom knives" for sale forum. With the right timing, you'll land one or two. Just have $175 to $350 handy.

here's some of my Gossmans...highly recommend them.

Here are some Siegles for you

I've tested over 80 --perhaps closer to 100

Ask me before you buy one

Damn William, what is Siegle your cousin or something? You're a lucky s.o.b.:D So did you sell that Pounder on ebay?

Matt Bailey I used to own. Of those questioned above, it was the only one I could provide feedback on: it was a beautiful blade. I've seen several Bill Siegles - very, very nice.
