Hello, everyone.

Need some help here.
I want to give my collection of HI khuks to my brother in Vancouver, Canada but I don't really know the import laws over there.
Would it be OK to send a huge box of over a dozen khuks, with the shortest being a Kumar Karda and the longest being a Tibetan Sword (Short version) up north without any worries, or would the box be stopped at Canadian customs and my brother get visited by Canadian customs officials, eh?

bty, the khuks would be sent from New Jersey.

Any help based on "actual experience or legal knowledge" would be greatly appreciated.

They would have to go through customs. We have a few Canadian members here that would know more.
I know the delivery time when Yangdu sends knives north is longer and more costly.

Far as I know everything is legal, no issues there, just the time, wait and cost of shipping.

Wait for one of the residents to shed more light on this, I don't want to steer you wrong.

I'm available for adoption if you ever feel the need for another brother.

Fixed blades are legal in Canada and your knives fit that description. Pack them up well and declare the contents for the purpose of customs and they are good to ship. I would suggests shipping using USPS and seamlessly into the Canada post system, insured with a tracking number.

I agree, I live on Vancouver Island, and get knives shipped here regularly. My biggest suggestion, though, is also to GET INSURANCE AND TRACKING because a very few packages have mysteriously been "lost in shipping".

Just don't send any un-assisted flippers. My shirogorov got stopped as being an automatic. Apparently speed safe kershaw flippers are good to go as well. Just not certain manual flippers on certain days. (Stupid)

Your khurki's should be fine, they do not fall in the prohibited items category.

Excellent!
Thanks for all the kind replies.
And sorry, no openings in the brother department at this time...
