Both are modified sheepsfoot, and very similar in size and shape. Both Axis lock. I know they are different steels, but right now for me that does not matter.
From instructions I found here, it seems simple to remove and replace the blade from an Axis lock knife.
I find the Griptilian modified sheepshead a slightly better general purpose shape (having a bit more tip), while the Triage blade is probably safer for some uses (or some people).
I'd carry the Griptilian-bladed Triage EDC, and my son, who does not carry a knife regularly, could get started with the Triage sheepsfoot blade in the Griptilian and perhaps avoid some painful pointed lessons.
The blades are slightly different thicknesses - this may be the showstopper. I don't know if the bushings / washers are different. Maybe all 3 pieces can swap over. I suppose it would void the warranty. More importantly, I don't want to ruin the knives by trying to force them to fit.
Or is there a better way to skin this cat?
