Heres the listing (( removed live eBay link ))

It says the dealer has never sold anything before, and the pictures seem good quality. Would like an opinion before buying, im currently highest bidder. Thanx

To be honest, I don't know. I have not had very good luck with eBay. I have never purchased a knife, but have received a fake watch and it took me almost two months to get it resolved. In the meantime they had my money, and quite a bit of it. Just my two cents for what it's worth.

i like that this ebay guy doesn't use stock photos and is based off of usa, but true ebay is risky.. i just cant find the paramili online outside of ebay :(

Heck ~~ I did not know we could even "Post" Pic's of ebay products on BF's ..!!!! hummmmmmm.???

eBay is not a good place to gamble, but if you know what red flags to avoid, you can find items that are unavailable from safe bets, such as authorized dealers. One red flag, even if the item is legit, is no sales record ratings. Too risky. I look for someone with a rating no less than 99.99%, plus many sales of items that are similar to the one you want.

Wharn beat me to it.

I have purchased several Spyderco's on the bay, but only models I was certain aren't being faked. Probably wouldn't buy a Para there.

The price is $105 and the reserve still is not met?

You can do better here on the exchange if you can be patient. I've seen several Para 2's for sale just in the past couple of weeks.

I've bought several Spydercos and even a Chris Reeve on Ebay. I've also sold a few quality knives there. So far I've had good luck, though I think the auction format usually favors the (experienced) buyer. I would be very, very cautious about buying from someone with a low feedback number, or with a less than 100% positive score.

That is very good advice. EBay = caution and experience!

Have had problems with fake Spyderco Military and Fallkniven F1's on ebay. Was lucky enough both times to get my money back. Love ebay but the fake knives are out of control. Can get great deals sometimes you just got to know what to look for when a fake might be getting auctioned and listed as authentic.

I dont understand buying a knife that is well known for being counterfeit off of an auction website that is well known for having counterfeit knives for sale. Especially when reputable dealers have the knife in stock, right now. Check out Knifeworks. If it sells out before you can buy, or if they dont have the one you want in stock (assuming it's a regular production model) then do the pre-order or email alert and be patient.

I just did this and my PM2 arrived yesterday. I barely had to wait two or three weeks and I had emails from three different reputable shops with the PM2 in stock.

I am definitely not trying to be a jerk, and I apologize if my reply is taken that way, but this has been covered over and over and over again. I know this well even though I am a new member around here. It is not hard to find information here if you are willing to look just a little bit, especially on a knife as popular as the PM2 is.

...I love mine by the way, well worth the wait! Carrying it for the first time today, hair-shaving sharp right out of the box.

Just spent the better part of an hour looking at fake Spyderco PMs on the web. The level of "quality" copying is at an all-time high. Likely to worsen I suppose.

I'd be very careful of that particular model...

thanks for the help everyone, my bid has been topped so I'm no longer required to pay for anything. will be looking at reputable dealers, I'm currently waiting for the all black pm2 to go in stock (I really love the way it looks) . I didn't know about the pm2's counterfeit reputation, and am really greatful I wasn't another possible disappointed victim
