A dumb question, can a Commander be convex ground from the way it was sent from the source?

Sure, but why. The flat grind, chisel edge, is perfect.

If you are asking if it can be converted into a convex grind, the answer is yes. I haven't used his services yet, but have spoken with him and he's a great guy to talk knives with is Richard J. Everybody who use his knife sharpening services says he's one of the best and he usually puts on a convex grind unless you request something else. Look him up in the Custom Shop services area.

When I get some money I plan on getting a Journeyman. It was the one I have wanted for my daily edc task.
