Since I haven't posted in a while, I thought you might enjoy this one. The customer for it had requested one similiar to one that I had made that was in Knives Illustrated a few years back. The original (before I started making my own damascus) had some of Ed Caffrey's fossil damascus so I opted to use another piece of his steel for this order. This is a can mosaic made from drop offs from accordian cutting other mosaics. My hats is off to Ed for creating such a beautiful (and definately unique) pattern.

It has a clam shell guard of 416 & stabilized bone for the handle scales. Hope you like it.

Nice work Gary. I thought that pattern looked familiar. I've got a blade here ready for heat treat made of Ed's fossil damascus.

Mine looks like flames shooting up the blade. Really hard to capture that pattern with pictures.

I like the lines on your knife.

Good looking Knife Gary, one the owner will cherish for years to come. The really neat thing about the damascus made using the left over accordian cut pieces is it is totally a One-of-a-Kind. Nice job.:thumbup:
