can only get semi-sharp

dmt mini sharpners can you maintain a sharp edge w them or should I just go ahead & get sharpmaker seem be having problem w mini sharpners can get semi-sharp but not as sharp has original blade most blades are 154cm one s30v
 
I'd say go for the 204 Sharpmaker and follow the instructions. Should get you nice and sharp.
 
The Sharpmaker 204 also comes with a neat video that will show you how to sharpen just about anything in your household. And Sal Glesser himself is the "star of the show".:D
 
Even my wife enjoyed that video and she isn't the slightest bit interested in knives!
 
Are you getting charged per word by your ISP like the way they do telegrams??

I recommend the Spyderco Ceramic Whet Stone. I have the one that comes in a blue box, the medium grit. After using a DMT Diasharp diamond coated hone to do the heavy, coarse sharpening, I put the polish on the blade with the Spyderco stone. It is all I need to get my knives sharp enough to shave hair. The reason I don't use my Sharpmaker anymore is because I don't like the pre-set angle, which doesn't work for every bevel. I just find the grind angle on a flat bench stone and do freehand sharpening. After years of practice, I have gotten to be quite good at it.
