I was just reading the camp knife thread... I think can openers are cool, although I have a P-38. I can also open a beer on just about anything, but cap lifters are also cool. And so this poll was born.

I can open a beer with a beer, works great till your on the last one, then a house key will do the trick. As for knives, I generally only carry for their cutting ability. The exception is for travel, where a SAK or camp type knife shines.

Sometimes the can opener comes in handy when it is really sharp (like on and SAK) but I use a screwdriver/cap lifter pretty regularly.
Cap lifter for the win - plus, I have been kicking myself for not finding those GEC beerscout knives when they ran :/

Combo blade like the one you find in some SAKs. It works flawlessly in both tasks.

I don't really care about what they open. I just want the screwdriver blade, so usually that means caplifter. Having a poker-scraper-prodder thing is very much more useful.

Funny you bring this up :) I can't remember how many times this happened. I usually use the cork screw on my army knife.

I voted cap-lifter. They can be modified with a sharp crescent that works for cans and preserves the screwdriver.
