can phosphorous washer be placed in any knife?

I love the smooth feel of phosphorous washers. I was curious if they can be placed into most folders. My concern is the change in thickness causing play. Is that feasible, or am I just being paranoid? Thanks.

ALSO... where can I buy phosphorous washers??? Thanks!!!
 
If the knife came with washers, you need to measure how thick the stock washers are and the relavant diamaters.

Most of the knife maker supply sites offer phosphor bronze washers of various sizes. Google is your friend.

Put 'em in and enjoy.
 
oh ,a nd if you really want to benefit from the bronze washers, before you pet em' im- polish em- this came in real handy with my sebbie- smooth as ever

Be careful with polishing, it does remove material AND may remove more than you notice, it's not necessarily a requirement either bronze washers for knives are self lubricating, so with a little added oil they work great.
