I recently picked up one of schrade's scrimshaw handles knives, the handle was pretty nasty and stained so I sanded out all the stains and scrimshaw. Its white delrin, I worked through a bunch of different grits of sand paper and got a really nice finish on the handle. My questions are... do you guys think it would be safe to try and dye the handle? Anyone ever tried it before? And what would you use? R.I.T. dye? I've using the knife as my EDC but the white just shows the stains and dirt too much, I'd like to go with black, maybe a dark lime green. Either that or try and re-do the scales with a nice peice of black walnut or ironwood. What do you guys think?

Delrin takes a very nice dye with Rit. I've done lots of dying with that material and it's very accepting of the dye. Much more so than g10.

White in particular is easy. Frn is good too. Especially white frn.

Hit me up if you have any questions.
