Hi all as some of you may know this summer I am getting married and this fall i am going away to college. So as you might guess funds are short.

The training I will be taking requires a good strong quality knife. So what I have been thinking is that I will try to get a Busse Battle Mistress or Basic 9. That is all well and good but no one will accept a trade.

All I have is a ghillie poncho and a ghillie bdu suit. My suits will be on Ron Hoods upcoming tracking video so what I need from you guys is help with finding someplace to sell the suits or helping me find someone that will trade.

I am sorry if this is off topic, I am not sure. But this place is my last resort. Thanks for your help in advance. Geoff.

Gunner, my only suggestion would be to post your ghillie suits on a forum that might be more in line with the product. While I'm sure many of us knife-owners here are also gun owners and hunters/fisher"persons", we may not have specific need for a ghillie suit.

For starters, you can try BF's firearms-related sister site The Firing Line. They use the same sort of software, so navigation should be very familiar.

Another firearms site is the The Gun Spot.

There's also Hunt America.

I'm sure there are other hunting forums that this suit may also be ideal for, especially with turkey hunting coming up (those buggers have pretty good eyesight, I'm told). You might want to try a search for those as well as some archery forums, as camo gear is always important for sneaking up on critters.

One is Bowhunting Net. There's The BowSite.

The Archery Network has online auctions.

For something perhaps much more specific to the ghillie suit, Sniper Country has an online classified section called the emporium. You can check that out as well. In fact, I just checked it, and one fella was looking for some ghillie equipment.

Off-topic, what part of PEI are you from? My wife and I honeymooned in Acadia, Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, and PEI (in that decommissioned lighthouse with the adjoining motel in Souris) a year and a half ago, and we simply fell in love with the entire region. We went off-season, and felt like we had the place to ourselves, it was quiet, romantic, everybody we met was great, though some were amused that we actually chose the maritimes for a honeymoon destination. Why not? It's an awesome area, and we're hoping to go back again very soon, it's become near and dear to our hearts.
