Hi guys...

I'd like to check out the Swamp Rat product line, but logging into their web site doesn't get me anywhere...I only see one "swordish" blade. I know they make many models, so where can I go to see pics, specs, prices, etc.?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

There is a Swamp Rat section under Manufacturers. I believe there is a thread with specs for each model.

If you're interested in buying new, Swamp Rat is not like a conventional manufacturer. They only offer 1 or 2 models at any given time, and sometimes none at all. Check the products tab at the Ratknives site.
If you want older models, you are obliged to look at the secondary market. This forum has a large trade in Bussekin blades.

Happy shopping!

Even with current offerings they mostly require a pre-order to be emailed to them first. Some time later (uh, 2 weeks???) you receive a order confirmation and then some time later (uh, 2 weeks???) when the knife is ready you pay for it and it will ship. Time is relative and 2 weeks often isn't.

Thye have wardens ready to ship. RMS's and HRLMS are available on pre order. But the HRLM will be phased out soon.

The key thing to remember is that Swamp Rat Knives is NOT a production knife company. It's a LIMITED PRODUCTION knife company. The only thing consistent about the way Swamp Rat (and its sister companies, Busse Combat and Scrap Yard) do business is inconsistency. My recommendation would be to log into all three company forums (Busse Combat, Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard) and just observe what goes on for awhile. You'll eventually get the hang of it if you stick around long enough.

Swamp Rat and Busse Combat maintain subforums here in the Manufacturer's section. Scrap Yard has its own forum at http://www.scrapyardknives.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat=0.
