I picked up this knife at a trapping convention about 3 years ago.
It was purchased in the condition that is seen here. Only been lightly used by me.
All it says on it is: "Camillus New York USA" on one side, and "42" on the other.
I have spent hours looking for it online and the closest thing i can find is the Silversword and its not the same.
It is completely stainless (doesnt say what kind) and a lockback.
Very simple design, but sturdy. Minimal horizontal play
No designs on the handle, nothing.
No screws, or holes.
Not even spots where scales COULD have gone.
Very small and light too.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bladeboss

The 'slanted' text seen in the 'CAMILLUS' mark on the blade tang is consistent with knives made from late '70s to late '80s or so. I'm betting the '42' is the model number, but I'm also not finding a lot to confirm that (Edit: see linked thread below). Lockback knives like this, with brushed stainless handles, were pretty commonplace through the '90s, at least (I remember seeing lots of these types in catalogs, through the '90s). Buck and Case/Zippo had very similar models, some of which might've been contract-made by Camillus.

See posts #9 (with pictures of a '42' etched with the 'Silver Sword' logo) and #11 (describes link between the '42' model and the 'Silver Sword' variation), in this thread:

Camillus made many variations of some of their models, changing just about everything but the basic configuration. There are several former Camillus employees, including CAMCO (Tom Williams) on the Camillus Collectors forum here, who have an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the company's knives. They are very generous in sharing their knowledge.
