The guys on the general forum told me to ask here. The makers mark looks similar to Joe Pirela....but it is not the same. Anyone have an idea? Looks like a wheel with a prop on it.

Sorry I can't help identify the maker, but this does illustrate the point I harp on about a maker marking his/her knives with at the very least a name.....if people can't find you, they certainly cannot purchase/order a knife from you!

I agree Ed, unless they are one of the very few makers whose work enjoys universal recognition in many areas of the custom knife arena, maker's are cutting themselves short by not clearly identifying their work. In addition, I'm not sure some makers (especially newer ones) fully appreciate the importance of a well designed, properly sized, placed and identifiable maker's mark.
Is this something the ABS advises new knifemakers on in their training seminars and hammer-ins?

About 95% of the time, these kind of threads end up being all about how much, what's it worth, etc. It's great to see one that's all about nothin' but GOOD WILL!!

Real knife people = real good people.
