I got this knife from a friend who says it was his grandfathers. I cant find anything online about it. Im pretty sure it is a Craftman because it says Sears on the blade. The only markings say Sears, Stainless, USA, 95417. All the markings are on the clip point blade with the the long nail pull. Does anyone know the rough year and or perhaps value and even a little history. It doesnt seem like a very high quality knife but it is in great shape and hey....you never really know.

I think that the finishing -as in bolsters, scales are just pretty plain, but if this is a Camullis made knife-its actually is not too badly made, and will last for years, I bought one from the for sale knives in the exchange a wee while ago-just for the car, it
actually is nicely made-as in nice to last.

Doesn't get much more "Scientific" than that 300.:) I'd say that's a darn good guess.

I have a 95203 laying right here. It is a Buck 303 size knife, hence is why I own it. Sort of a Cami copy...Mine has Craftsman, Stainless Steel, on the Clip blade. Tang says SEARS, ACA EDGE*,USA, 95203. Hard to see with pics but looks near the same size. If this isn't a Cami I will spit on my wife's clean floor.....photo coming

5 digit Sears or Craftsman branded knives were mostly (or all ?) made by Camillus. The laminated "Fibron" handles and brass bolsters also indicate Camillus.

I would agree with the Camillus answer also. Years ago, I had a few of those unmarked from a Camillus seconds grab-bag.

Solid knife that would make a decent user.

Nice knife.

I have a used one almost identical to that, with Frontier Double Eagle etched on the blade; pile side of the main blade is stamped IMPERIAL. LG4 shows (pg. 53) that Camillus made these for Imperial. I haven't found a Craftsman or Sears yet, that was at a reasonable price.

Well Chris, That makes me feel good for my $20 Craftsman, -----Oh, maybe you meant they were all too high.....dang.....300

Yup, for users on fleabay, some of these I've seen were priced way too high; users are pretty much what I look for these days. Although, that old Rosewood (or whatever the scales are) sure does shine up nice. Get those scales & bolsters polished up, and they just glow.

ps: for all my preaching about only buying users, when a nice unused 'new-old-stock' piece shows up that catches my interest, I've been known to 'shoot the moon' as well. :D
