Well, I found this knife in our basement a few years ago. My dad says that it's the survival knife that he carried in his helicopter pilot days (he was a medivac pilot in the nam era). It has a quick open blade (dont really know what to call it, you hit the button and it flips open like a jack knife) and the slide seen next to the button is the lock, when it's pushed towards the button, it wont operate (so it wont flip open the blade in your pocket with the expected result). The other tool seen on the knife is a special cable cutter, designed so that you could cut certain lines on a standard round parachute, so you could steer it kind of like a para foil (the wing type parachutes). Obviously the blade is a Camillus as it says on the base of the blade, however I cannot find a knife like it on Camillus' site, (and i checked their history page too). Can anyone help me identify this knife?

Your knife is a MC-1 Paratrooper's knife. Camillus has been making this knife since 1960 and this item is still in production.
