Can someone please explain Knob creek .

I keep seeing mentions of knob creek and I know i will never attend one so I am wondering what exactly they are and why they are such sought after events to attend?
 
Knob Creek is an event that happens twice a year. April and October
It is the biggest public machine gun shoot east of the Mississippi River.
It takes place in West Point, KY
Busse attends the event with many different style knives.
It is also a huge gun, ammo, and accessory show.
 
Guns, MACHINE GUNS, and Busse knives. And Amy-0's cheesecake. What more explanation is needed? :thumbup::D

Woo Hoo that looks like fun !!

Hell my only chance is to go to Cambodia to let off that kinda steam but we get RPGs and lots of beer when down range.

having never been to a gun show are the products being sold there cheaper? is this why people are calling for proxies to attend in their place?

Is the cheese cake really that good? that you have to fight for it ?

as far as my name goes its a misspelling of Afropubes which means Shayne the one with a small brain in old Chinese.

And as an aside : when you strop a knife is it the same as stropping a straight razor? what i mean same tension on the strop and just letting the weight of the blade do the work?

The call for proxies here is specifically to find someone to buy some Busse knives for you, as there are variants at the shows that one will never see anyplace else.

Amy's cheese cake is pretty darn good, but you don't have to fight for it, just show up in the right place at the right time. The fighting is to get to the Busse table first to have the best selection of knives

AFAIK, most people do not use a hanging strop strap for their knives, but I suppose you could.

This is where the HOGS go to feed. It is the best place to purchase a variety of rare Busse knives, all of which increase in value the moment you buy them, since only one is offered at a time from the Bussecombat office. Not to mention most of us HOGS also appreciate fine weaponry along the para military nature. Its all here. AND This time we were fortunate enough to have the Hoggetts come Amy Amanda and Lexi! it was great to meet the girls we talk to on the phone when we make our order... Amy's cheesecake and general good conversations with our fellow HOGS who appreciate Jerry and Garth's "art" of the blade.
 
I think you need a federal license and a lot of money. :) I couldn't afford 10 seconds worth of ammo.
