This has probably been done at some point before but I couldn't find it through searches here so my question is this, can someone either post Pics and Descriptions of the various Busse knife finishes or point me to somewhere that has already done this? I don't so much care about the different colors of Crinkle Coat but CG, DC, etc would be useful as I always get them confused. The perceived durability/rust resistance of each would be cool too.

Thanks,

Greg

Satin finish is a smooth glassy hand rubbed satin. It is not porous and helps prevent rust.

Double cut is a bead blast. Looks really nice, but is more prone to rust.

Competition finish is just unfinished Infi with the machining marks still visible. Great for a user. It is my favorite finish (or lack of) from Busse. It can rust more easily. It is also discontinued currently.

Then you have the coating, which obviously prevents rust.

I don't worry much rust with Infi, but if it is an issue, go with coated or satin blades.
