I need some comparison pics of these two knives. Thinking of pulling the trigger on a PM2.

Thanks

Thanks Gooey. Not much difference in size. Guess I will keep my 560 and rotate the tenacious back in. I really keep going back to the tenacious for some reason. I also can get that thing stupid sharp.

The biggest difference is weight. The ZT weighs about 50% more than the PM2. That is a huge difference in your pocket.

Are you looking to go smaller?

I carry a 350 most of the time but have carried the 560 for a few weeks and I really like the non assisted flipper but the knife is just to big for what I need it for. I would really like ZT to make a smaller 560 but in the meantime I am trying to find something smaller. I thought about just de-assisting my 350 and I still may do that. I have de-assisted it in the past but its just not silky like the 560 is.

Am I the only one who finds there to be a visual imbalance in the design of the PM? So much handle, so little blade. Probably one of the most popular blades, I know... Heh, not making many friends with a comment like that.

I guess it is meant to be used wearing gloves...

Anyway, I find a knife like the ZT (or Native) to be a lot better looking proportionally...

How about a 550? Chaparral? Sage 1/2?

I tried a sage 2 but just didn't like it, 550 with a flipper would be good. I would like to have a non AO flipper. Would really like an XM-18 but don't have that kind of coin for a pocket knife.

No, you are not. Spyderco only has a few designs that I really like and the rest of them are not my style. Spyderco was my first knife back in the early 90's and I carried them for 15 yrs before branching out. I really wanted to like that new southard flipper but I just don't like the blade on it.

It sounds like a Native 5 is right up your alley. I had a PM2 and may be one of the few on the forum that didnt like it for the same reason you said to much handle to little blade. A co-worker carries a Native 5 and let me use it for a day and man im in love, that will be my next pocket knife.
