I have a couple of 1 Meg jpgs that are somethign like 23 * 17 inches in paint. If I emailed them could someone resize them and bring the size down to maybe 150K or so? They're knife pix.

Or tell me how to do that in "MS Paint"?

Thanks

Thanks!, on the way shortly.

Edit: 3 pix sent.
Edit: Pix received Thanks!

Thanks, I used to have some editing software until I switched machines. I'll look ino that.

In MSPaint, choose 'Image' from the menu bar, then 'Stretch/Skew', enter the same percentage for horizontal and vertical and there you go.
Photoshop does a much better job however...

I use InfranView for resizing and basic image manipulation. It's a very easy to use, compact and powerful image viewing and editing program. The US Trademark Office used to recommend that people use this for properly sizing image files (they have strict requirements for file size, image size, pixel density, etc.)

It's also nice for just viewing the images you have on your computer.

Edit: Oh, and it's free!

I use Irfanview also..
but for on the fly picture resizing.. you can't beat Microsoft Power toys Image resizer
and it is free.. and easy to use.. jsut right click on any picture or tumbnail you wish to resize and select resize image then choose from the pre set image sizes.. the default one is what I usually pic.. 640x480 and works good for posting..
Hope this helps too.

Wow, that's awesome. I just tried it and resized about 50 700+ meg photos at once! Pretty cool.

Thanks!

That MS Powertoy is awesome. That's just the thing that my Mom needs to resize her digital photos. She's able to use computers, but not comfortable with them, and the simplicity of use there is great.

Thanks!
