Can someone teach me how to grind blades?

I am cut and blistered from attempting to make myself a blade. Its a blade alright but it has no blade grinds. I tried for hours and I just cant figure out how to do it. Can anyone show me how? Maybe a tutorial or a video? Or direct me in the right direction? Thank you!
