Can someone tell me about this Marbles knife?

I just bought it at a pawn shop. Don't know much about it except it is BIG.

Smooth bone handle is very flat and rectangular in shape. Does this make for a better handle? Not sure if I like the ergonomics. Does anyone know if this handle is preferred for any reason.
