Can someone tell me more about this Schrade?

I hope I get this post right, I'm a newbie, both collecting and posting. I purchased this Schrade recently and I am stumped on it. The tang is stamped Scrade N.Y. U.S.A. 108OT which to me says Old Timer, but it looks like an open stock knife. I have had no luck finding any info on why it appears as it does. Does anyone have any insight? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did a little looking on Google, and it is indeed one of the Old Timer models. Not sure what you mean exactly by, "why it appears as it does." Maybe I'm missing something, but could you be a little more specific for the mentally deficent amoung us?

Oh, and here is a little info on the Open Stock (as well as some others) knives you made mention of. I didn't see your model listed, so that lends even more credit to it being from the Old Timer line.

Thanks guys! The reason I asked "why it appears as it does" was because at first glance it looks like an open stock, but as thawk said, has the Old Timer blade. I was just having a hard time putting the two together. It did not cross my mind that it could have been pieced together from parts that were not from the same model. Glad to hear you guys find it interesting.

Heck those are Schrade stamps. A lot of the odd balls mix Schrade, Imperial, and Ulster blades.
