I typed in the search button but nothing came up. I Google it and it only goes to the knife manufacturer im looking at that uses that term.

it's marketing speak, to make something sound cool from nothing... literally

hefted means to 'to lift' or something that has been lifted. It's also been used to describe keeping sheep on the side of a mountain pasture http://sciencesearch.defra.gov.uk/Default.aspx?Module=More&Location=None&ProjectID=15631

so a 'hefted alloy' is a lifted alloy, likely a marketing speak way to describe basic anodizing

The marketing grads who get hired by knife companies (and all companies really) have to justify their existence somehow :)

I think dirc is real close. And I'm not sure, but I think it refers to the handle topography -- some alloy, either steel or aluminum -- that is raised or has a raised section. It's not that the alloy is hefted, but that the handle is made out of some alloy and has a raised topography.

I don't what hefted alloy is but it is hefting the first move to finishing a rough knife knife

Plenty of better switchblade out there.
