First, I am aware of the Nevada knife laws posted at http://pweb.netcom.com/~brlevine/nv.txt but can someone tell me what they mean or interpret them for me?

Does this mean one can carry any sized fixed blade or folder as long as it isn't concealed? Would a folder clipped on a pocket count as not concealed?

Thanks.

That CANNOT be the entire extent of Nevada knife or weapons laws, but if it is... carry what you like with noted exceptions apparently.

Thanks for the thought. I will try to find the nevada laws on the internet elsewhere and find the complete statutes. I can post the result of my research.

Here is a great resource for knife law. It's just a guide and you may want to look up the most current law, but it looks like your laws aren't strict at all, except for switchblades. Nevada's laws seem to be pretty broad in the use of the term switchblade, basically defining it as anything with a spring thats only intention is to open the knife. But, as long as you have no assisted openers, you'll be ok.:D

Thanks for the link, Duffin444. Yeah, looking at the complete NRS (Nevada revised statutes), switchblade is defined so an assisted opening knife would be a switchblade. Also, a switchblade knife looks like any knife with a blade longer than 2", if I'm reading the statutes properly! Oh well. Looks like that Sog Sculptura I've been carrying is about as big as it's going to get. :(

No, you can have a normal, no spring loaded, folding knife that is any length, I believe.
