Bro used his Grippy to open one of those plastic packs where you can't open the pack unless you have some kind of sharp object. The tip on his 553 is a little dulled now. Can a Sharpmaker reprofile blade tips?

Yes, but the real question is do you have the skill to do that? Also depending on the damage you may need to start with the diamond rods.

I prefer sandpaper on a flat surface for redoing tips.
Easier and more effective.

If you just want to sharpen the tip again then yes the sharpmaker can do it. Don't run the knife tip off the ceramic stone as this will round it off and you will loose the point. As you draw the knife down to sharpen stop with the tip still on the stone. The sharpmaker allows you put either a 15 or 20 degree angle on the knife edge or both by doing a compound bevel. Good luck.

How did you round the tip of a griptillian from just cutting open a plastic blister pack?

Beats me. My bro just stabbed into it with the tip from the tanto grippy. That caused it to get rounded. Not like he misused or abused it. Tanto tips are meant for piercing and tip strength. I was surprised myself.
