Can the Recon 1 be waved?

I'm not sure if I'm at the right place to ask this question but here goes. I noticed an Andew Demko blade mod that essentially mated a a Recon 1 handle with an Emerson CQC8 blade (equipped with a Cold Steel wave stud) . I'd love to have this done but I gather it's not likely to possible so a second choice would be a waved Recon 1. I'm wondering if it's possible to wave this knife with a Cold Steel wave stud (or something similar) because I want to be able to "one hand" deploy when I choose to.

i think i saw a thread not long ago, the owner removed the thumb stud, and put a ziptie thru the screw hole like people do with Spyderco

I was thinking a small narrow block of aluminum or brass slightly wider than the blade width would work. With a slot milled out it could be slid over the bade where the thumb stud was. Then it could be easily attached with a bolt through holes lined up with with the thumb stud holes. Then a wave plate could be attached to the top and that should do it. But... I've got Andrew Demko modding my Spartan already so I don't think I'll bother. I'm just going to to get an Emerson instead ;^)
