i recently found a leatherman wave on a job site and was wondering if i could get it fixed somewhere for a reasonable price. does leatherman do non-warranty repair work? i don't really care to buy a new wave since i already have a PST II and a Multi-plier 600 but i'd really like to have a working wave for the one-handed blades.

(part of the pliers and the knife blade are broken off.)

Hi spoonrobot dont worry just send it off to leatherman and they will repair/replace your wave free of charge.

Another vote for sending it in to LM.
I once cut some round stock stainless. I had the wave on hip. And every tool known to man within walking distance...basement or garage :)

I scored the cutters and bent them so I had to pry the jaws apart. I then filed them down so it'd close. I emailed LM and told them it was my stupidity and they said send it in and they'd evaluate.
I received a new Wave in one week from sending it out.
A class act for sure :)

when you send it in you may want to take the oppertunity to buy a sheath for it. The leather one is real nice looking, and the nylon sheath is real well built.

just an update but i recieved my brand new replacement wave today. the warranty department at leatherman is outstanding. they tried calling me twice but i wasn't in so the sent me an email and one week later i got my wave. excellent.
