Can Timascus get wear marks?

So, I've been liking some folders that have either whole Timascus scales or inserts. But I read somewhere that over time Timascus scales will show wear where (awkward sounding) your hand grips them.

I realize Damascus can show wear over time and need to be re-etched, etc. I have several knives with Mokume Gane bolsters and those look new, but normally hands don't rub bolsters.

Thoughts? And can Timascus be re-etched or whatever to bring them back to new?

Yes the ano will wear off /scratch with use but yes it can be re heat anodized too

Everything can get wear where you were holding it or even what you were wearing was maybe wearing against it.
