I am now sure that i am going to get a decent bali. I really want to get the bm42.But are there any problems with it ? What kind of features does it have ? Does the bm42 have washers between the blades for a better swing? Can it be droped and still be ok? Its not like i am actually going to drop it on purpuse though.;) (scared ya for a sec didn't i):rolleyes:. Does the bm42 manipulate well ? All the bm42 owners have there been any problems with your 42 ? I am kinda of getting tired of using my jag because i cant lock it when it is open :( . So that is why i am going to the reliable 42s. I know that the 42 is extremely light and it is very sharp.:p I also know that the 42 has a latch protector that will not allow the latch to hit the blade unlike the jag. I know that the pins are torx screws so i dont have to worry about repining it . Is the 42 a high matenece knife ?Is there anything else I should know before I buy my first nice bali ??? :confused: You guys can tell me the truth I want to hear all bout the 42.Thz for reading this and hopefully helping in advanced.:D

Washers, yes, "droppable" with minimal or no harm, yes, easily manipulated, yes, occasionally tighten torx screws, and add a little militec-one. In general an aesthetically pleasing, very low maintenance, durable knife; an excellent choice (some say the only choice, although our choices are increasing in number), sometimes found for slightly over $100. It's good for all levels of performance, I'm just barely an intermediate. More detailed analyses will no doubt follow. Try it; you'll get what you need.
 
Where's the cheapest place to get the BM42? Someone mentioned slightly over $100..:D
 
How come they are soo cheap at that site ? At knifezilla they are about $160.Is there another site that have them for a little less then knifezilla? ( Gibberish* But mine doesn't lock open : (.. i know i should send it back but i don't have another good bali and couldn't stand having it gone for a few weeks ) u bought urs at the site u gave me and urs is broken. Did it come broken or did u break urs ?



Can someone else plz give me their info about the bm42 ?
 
The 42 I got from Americam Outdoor Sports is great. $111.95 shipped to Fl. It came out of the package with the bite handle a little tight, but with a little work, it now swings fine. Ive had it for about 2 months and am happy with it. As for Gibberish's bali, theres always a lemon in the bunch.:) :) :)
 
Well i trust clay and all the others who used knifezila to order their bm42. Although it will cost me exactly $167.50 for a bm42a with 3 day shipping I would rather go with something a little cheaper from American Outdoor place. With the extrat $50 i would sace i could order some miltech.:D So how long did it take the bm to come to you balisongboy ? What did u order it with a credit card right ?
 
Well that site doesnt have the bm42A does anyone know where I can get a bm42A for about the same price as balisongboy got his bm42 for ?
 
Thz balisongboy. Thz man so much my bro just bought me the bm42A for $112.50 I can't wait until i get it in da mail. Since it was much much cheaper than knifezilla i bought the 2 day air mail with it hehehehe:D and I still get it for cheaper yay !!!!!! So the total payment is $123.62 instead of $167.50 YAY !!!!!!:D Now i can spend the rest of my $45 on some miltech to keep my new bali swinging. YAY!!! THZ ALL FOR YA HELP !!!!

Seriously, though, I've gotten into the balisong thing about a year too late, 'cuz I've been waiting for 2 months to get a plain-jane BM-42 from my local knife and gun dealer, and he was going to sell it me for abou $125, too. Every week, I go to the gunrange and every week he says, "It didn't come in today, man. Sorry." :mad:

I wonder if I should tell him to cancel the order and order one from a guy that offered me a 42 for $105, and that price included s&h... :confused:

Anyway, if you can get one, do it, by any means necessary. I'm tempted to try ebay again, but the last time I tried that, I lost a BM-45 factory 2nd by $7.50. :mad:

Milite-1 is only like $5. Chuck's or Clay's website should tell you how to use the militech. Good luck flippin.:) :) :)
 
I didn't break my knife, it came not locking open tight and then after a day wouldn't lock open at all...-

I cant wait for two days to get my bm42A although i am late on getting it i had no money at the time lol.But now i am making iy up by buying one now YAY !!!:) But i have to wait until they send it then i have to wait for 2 more days until i get it.I couldn't wait so i bought the 2 day mail .lolDoes anyone know where i can buy some miltech-one ????
