Eventually.

No rush, can hold my breath until I start turning blue.

Jigme does not come around much these days. He has found a local benefactor with considerably more money than me and prefers to do puja for $500 rather than the $100 I was able to pay. This takes nothing away from him. He is just being practical. He still does puja for me when I need it. Recent example: Yangdu called him and said I was in pain due to kidney problems. He did the puja and the pain disappeared and he looked in his bag of tricks and advised, "I can take away the pain but I cannot correct the cause. Beh (that's as close as he can come to Bill) must see doctors to correct the cause."

Jigme has applied for religious asylum and it flew. He is destined to get a green card and has applied for his wife and sons who will join him when the paper mill grinds long enough to spit out the required documents.

:)

I'd say that's the best possible news on all accounts. Hope the paperwork doesn't take too long.

Good. I take it Samten is still filling in as the work level in the shipping department requires?

( I only mention that so those who mutter imprecations about the H I shipping department will know a lama is most likely the reason for their disgruntlement. You wouldn't really say those things to your preacher's face would you?

I'm different of course. I told the current one he may have acted like a jackass, but we still needed someone to do the donkey work. The honest to God truth. It gave the preacher and the church board something to agree on - me! Unfortunately my penance consisted of 3 years as Congregation President. Live and learn to keep your mouth shut. )

Very good news.

It's a real surprise when our government manages to help some of the good folks. :)

The good Lama has done puja for me, too, for a different kind of pain.
It has subsided a bit.
