This looks like an early cold steel magnum Tanto. It has a 9” blade with a “v” spine and the usual leather sheath and the handle material looks and feels right. However, the knife is completely sterile and the only stamp is on the sheath and reads “Japan”.

Yep, original Magnum Tanto, although the published blade length was 8 3/4". The later Magnum Tanto IX had a 9" blade, but not the raised spine. Strange that it has no markings.
 
Perhaps it’s an early Prototype for the larger 9” IX series, before they decided on going with the flat spine.
