Can we start a WTB here?

I know this Sub forum has a bit different rules compared to the main site. Is it permissible to start a thread here for WTB?

Maybe everyone can put down what they are looking for, and we can contact one another privately?

For example say I have a GSO I would sell, to a regular here, but I don't want to list it on the exchange because I would only sell it if a regular here wanted it.

I hate to see regulars here miss out and random guys off the exchange scoop one.

How would we go about this? Hmmmm
 
Caution as you may get a wrist slap by the FTC for violating the antitrust laws and regulations :D
 
I think coil has all the 5.1s he needs. Well maybe not, he might be interested in a factory first. Hmmm I dunno. He seems to like those Spyderco things and crooked fasteners so maybe he is not really all that picky about the fine details and a 2nds suits him just fine!

I'm in the same boat as Coiled with the exception of 5.1s. Just 5.0 and 6.0 for me.
 
Well as a newbie around here I'm not too sure what my $.02 would buy... But I think it's a great idea [emoji41]
 
It's been tried. Can't start a forum sale thread without Guy or Ellie's approval and I don't know that they want that.

You know what? Being a couple of years older and wiser now, they may not only approve of the idea now but may also start doing a stock buyback program on the new WTB thread! :D

Honestly, I'm slowing down my pace a bit. I've let the last 4 or 5 GSOs in the exchange go. Within the ones I've been fortunate enough to own, I've identified some users and collectors. The rest I'm proud of but might be best served with someone that will use them as intended.

With that said, I'm more than willing to buy your 4.1 DLC should you ever decide to part with it. :)

I like the idea behind this thread, and I feel the same as you about supporting fellow survivors. It's probably a fine line as mods probably want to keep it in the appropriate sub forums.

I really do like the idea of our group having an advantage on a good sale. So many times I've seen regulars from here post and sell a GSO in the exchange before I even knew they were looking to sell, but those are the rules.

Maybe we could have a thread with a secret code like "hey guys, I want to bake a cake with 4.1 oz of frosting" or "Is anyone willing to part with a 10 inch strip of bacon?".

That is one advantage of the Facebook group. Knives really move around there because there aren't any restrictions.
 
Coiled it's a 3.5 and that one is not going anywhere for the time being. It would take something very cool to make me move it!! A man has to have trade bait but I will keep you in mind!!
 
^^^ Maybe we make a code system and put it on our sigs. For both wtb and wts. The enigma machine would be here on the forum for regulars to decode.

Hopefully Ellie will stumble upon this thread and chime in. Does it benefit the company in any way? There's so much I don't know.

Oh! I got it, we could make a hat code! "WTB size 6 hat. Not interested in size 5.1, size 7/7 won't fit. Preferably orange with OD green or black" :D

Brilliant! Let me try...

I have a size 5.1 hat, factory first in Jade green, it's stainless! Doesn't fit me well, anyone think it would work for them?? :D
 
I'll play - I'm in search of a S!K team jersey. Not particular about which sport, I just really want a jersey with the #71 on it.
