Can you convex a buck vantage pro?

Just wondering if it's a good idea to convex a buck vantage pro. If it's possible this would be my first time trying to convex.
And I don't have an cheap knives I can practice on except for a cheap china knife which I break the handles for fun

I know that ,but the vantage is hollow ground.
Wasn't sure if it would be a good idea.

I have put a convex edge on quite a few hollow ground blades. It works very well. I have done sevaral of the S&W Extreme ops blades that way.

So do you guys think I should go on with this.
I got my compound coming in from HA and keith said he sent me some free horse hide to go with it!
I'm very resource limited and this will be my first major reprofiling project

Hmm.... The edge is very thin and fine, there should be no major re profiling involved, it should take about 10 swipes on 400 grit wet dry. Unless you talking about a full convex? If so, no I wouldn't attempt that by hand.

bark river knives usually are fully convexed. The method shown in the link is how you sharpen a convex edge, full convex or just the edge, sharpening is the same.

I've never done a convex grind on an edge. That being said, the guy in these videos seems like he knows what he's doing:

That link shows knives that are not full convex, that's a great tutorial. Full you would be laying the blade flat, and trying to remove the hollow. WAY to much work IMHO. Just the edge is simple, and I do it to all my knives.

You can convex any knife. The more important question is why would you want to?
