Can you deassist a Twitch XL?

You can remove the spring and it will still work.

However I do have to mention that we do not recommend you do it yourself and if you do take knife apart and can't get it back together properly. That is not covered under warranty. Just a disclaimer.

Hi Chris,

Due to law restrictions, I also like to have a manually operated Twitch. Following your message, could the knife be de-assisted by SOG if requested upon purchase? Will there be significant retention in the close position once the spring has been removed?

BR,

Please disregard my inquiry. I've already bought and de-assisted mine. It holds very well in a closed position even when the safety is not engage but engaging the safety ensures accidental opening will be less likely to happen.
