can you do a parkenized blade on your own?

My question is can you buy a kit or the like to parkenize a blade like you can blueing? If so where can you get it or who can do it? THanks.

I have seen the home parkerizing kits on EBay - you might try doing a search there. I remember seeing these kits advertised by SWD, Inc. in Shotgun News also. Brownell's also probably carries the required chemicals. I cannot attest to the safety of using these kits or the kind of results you'd get. I've always had any parkerizing done by professionals.
